Months of planning suddenly came to an end late afternoon on Friday, 28 August 2009, when everyone started arriving for the Biblical Worldview Seminar (BWS) that we organized and hosted at the KwaSiza Bantu Pelindaba Mission about 50Km outside Pretoria. People came from a variety of places and we even had 3 ladies from Botswana attending.

Being the first seminar we as an organization hosted, we were not too sure what to expect in the beginning. In fact, originally we only thought about 30-50 people would register for the seminar. A month after opening registrations, we already surpassed that amount, eventually having around 160 registrations for the seminar. That number included those who registered with accommodation and all sessions, and also those who registered for specific days only.

Dr. Peter Hammond from Frontline Fellowship was the speaker for the weekend. The sessions were very informative and I think that most, if not all, attendees enjoyed these sessions and learnt a lot! Of course, our prayer is that each of us will take what we have learnt and apply it to our lives! Peter Hammond is a straight talker and does not equivocate on issues.

One thing about such seminars that last for more than one day, is that you get to know different people. It was amazing how hungry everyone was for this seminar, and I can only hope that more and more Chritians will attend such seminars and start having a greater impact on their communities and how this country is run.

In  my own estimation, this seminar exceeded our expectations, and it was more successful than we could have hoped for. Everything ran smoothly and for hosting such a seminar for the first time, it can only be said that it was God's providence in shaping this seminar the way it unfolded. We worked at its organization, but God was the one that made it so successful.

I am sure that we will continue organizing such seminars, however, that is not our only focus. We are a Christian Action group, and we will organize other events like Life Chains.

A few comments from those that attended:

"Thank you so much for an awesome weekend. I would go as far to say it was mind molding and life changing, its scary to think how easy it is to pick up humanistic presuppositions without even realizing it. I am so grateful for your ministry and hope to become more involved in the future."

-- Maura Thompson

"Thank you so much for the hard work the team put in to make the weekend possible. If I may summarize my comment I would just say that I was 'revived and encouraged.'"

-- Henri Slabbert, Vereeniging
